Today, my youngest daughter had her first sewing/quilting lesson. We started out learning how to thread the machine, load a bobbin, 1/4″ presser foot, pressing seams, etc.
Here she is trying to get the pesky bobbin thread up from the bottom. The “Look of Determination”. I think she has the phone there to call 9-1-1 just in case!
Here she is talking to her husband. Bobbin must have worked out well for her because she is smiling.
Surprisingly, she did not have to use the seam ripper too many times. She used a charm pack to do her first project. We will tackle the cutting mat, math, later. The assembling went pretty smoothly. She is still smiling!
